Which process is fastest?

For a single, complex part, 3D printing is typically the fastest process, often delivering parts in 1-3 days. For simpler geometries or if you need the part in a specific production material not available in 3D printing, CNC machining can be just as fast.

What is the difference between a "looks-like" and a "works-like" prototype?

A "looks-like" prototype (or appearance model) is focused on aesthetics. It's meant to look and feel like the final product but may not have its strength or function. A "works-like" prototype is focused on function. It's used for physical testing and is made from materials that mimic the final product's mechanical properties.
