Custom Parts for Every Automated System

Our on-demand manufacturing is perfect for producing the wide variety of custom parts required in robotic and automated assemblies.

Structural Components

Machine lightweight and stiff structural parts like frames, chassis, and mounting brackets from Aluminum 6061 or 7075 for an optimal balance of stiffness and weight.

End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT)

Rapidly prototype and produce custom end-effectors and grippers. Machine metal grippers for durability or 3D print lightweight, form-fitting gripper fingers for handling delicate objects.

Jigs & Fixtures

Quickly create custom jigs and fixtures for your assembly or inspection lines. 3D printing provides a fast, low-cost solution for ergonomic and complex tooling.

Drivetrain & Mechanical Parts

Machine high-precision gears, pulleys, sprockets, and drivetrain components from durable plastics like POM (Delrin) or metals like Steel and Aluminum.

Sensor & Camera Mounts

Create custom, precise mounting solutions for cameras, LiDAR, proximity sensors, and other automation hardware to ensure perfect alignment and stability.

Custom Enclosures

3D print complex, form-fitting enclosures in tough SLS Nylon or machine them from durable ABS to house and protect sensitive electronics and controllers.

Why HyProto for Robotics & Automation?

  • Speed for Iteration: Our rapid manufacturing processes allow you to get parts in days, not weeks, so you can test and iterate on your designs faster.
  • Material Diversity: We offer a huge range of materials, from lightweight plastics for prototyping to high-strength metals for final production components, all from a single supplier.
  • Precision as a Standard: We understand that robotic and automated systems depend on high precision. Our CNC machining and quality control processes ensure your parts fit and function correctly every time.
  • No Minimum Order Quantity: Whether you need a single custom part for a prototype or a low-volume run of 100 parts for a custom automation cell, we can deliver.

Robotics & Automation FAQ

Which process is best for robotic parts: CNC machining or 3D printing?

It depends on the part's function. For structural parts, motor mounts, and gearbox components that require high strength and stiffness, CNC machining aluminum or steel is best. For complex enclosures, custom end-effector fingers, and lightweight components where design freedom is key, 3D printing (like SLS Nylon) is an excellent choice.

How can I reduce the weight of my components?

We recommend two primary methods: material selection and design optimization. Choosing a lightweight material like aluminum or a plastic like Nylon is a great start. Additionally, we can use 5-axis CNC machining to create complex pocketing features or use 3D printing for internal lattice structures to remove mass without compromising critical strength.

Can you machine parts from my SolidWorks or Fusion 360 files?

Yes. While the universal STEP format is preferred for quoting, we can also work with native CAD files from most major software packages, including SolidWorks (.sldprt), Fusion 360 (.f3d), Inventor, and others.
